The Moross Greenway Project is a 501c3 non-profit partnership of Eastside Detroit community, civic and religious groups working collaboratively to beautify the landscaping in the seven median islands on Moross Road between the Ascension St. John Hospital and Medical Center and the I-94 service drive.

FALL-CLEANUP VOLUNTEER DAY
When: Saturday, Oct. 11th from 9am to 11am
What: Light gardening/weeding and litter cleanup.
Where: Parking lot of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church (Moross/@ Edgefield).
The Moross Greenway Project is looking for volunteers for its annual Fall Clean-Up on Saturday, October 11, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, rain or shine.
Volunteers are asked to bring their own work gloves and dress for the weather. Boots are recommended as the islands may be wet. Trash bags/buckets, trash pickers and traffic safety vests will be provided.
The volunteers will be focused on three main tasks:
Trash collection: Collecting litter along the seven greenway islands.
Light gardening: Please bring a trowel for weeding and/or a shovel for perennial dividing.
Daffodil planting: If you would like to plant bulbs please bring a shovel.
Interested volunteers can sign-up online at our volunteer tab above or simply gather next to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at 21150 Moross between at the corner of Edgefield. Parking is available in their lot. Board members will be available to guide volunteers and answer questions.
